Sewing Room

Today is wet and miserable yet again so I decided I would finally set up my sewing machine, it's only taken me four years. It looks pretty good all set up on a table with all my bits and pieces, almost looks like I know what i'm doing, he,he. Well i'm off to give it a go and see what I can make, wish me luck, i'm gonna need it.

I need yarn

I can't believe how hard it is to find decent yarn at a reasonable price, It's so frustrating. All I ask is for some beautiful yarn to make a wave ripple afghan I found on one of my favourite blogs, Posie gets cosie. http://rosylittlethings.typepad.com/ Does anyone out there know of an australian supplier of debbie bliss yarns? i've been trying to find one but have had no luck. If you know please help me and let me know I would be forever grateful.

Three beanies

I spent last weekend on the lounge, I found this adorable little beanie pattern that I just had to make, I love the ribbed band around the bottom. First I made the red and pink one with the pom pom, then I gathered all my scraps and made the multi coloured one (my favourite) then last the pink and white which isn't quite finished. I can't wait to make more. I will post the pattern at a later date i'm about to move house and don't have time right now.

Bargain buys

Today I went to the op shops and for the first time in a long time I actually found something, first I found a very retro breakfast set (I think thats what it's called) it's a sugar bowl, milk jug and salt and pepper shakers, all for $4by mikasa , I love it. Then I found a cute little jug for 20 cents, I decided today that now I have three ceramic jugs, I should start a collection, keep watching for post every time I get a new one. The other thing I found today was two pretty little notebooks, I couldn't decide between the two so at only $2.49 each I got both.

Cute Crochet Cardigan

I found this cute easy peasy crochet pattern for a cute baby cardigan so I just had to give it a try, It was sooooooooooooooooooooo easy, I started it late last night and just finished it about 5 minutes ago, I still can't believe how easy it was, I made some crochet buttons to do until I can find what I want. Well i'm off to make something else to put on here, I think I may have caught the blogging bug. ciao.

Get Felted

I made this pin cushion tonight, I saw it on one of my fave blogs Bella Dia, she makes the cutest things from felt. The stacking Russian dolls I made for a friend who collects the real ones, I got the pattern off maize projects, as soon as I saw them I thought of my friend and had to make them for her.
